ice fishing the raquette river

has anyone ice fished the raquette river in potsdam? if so then then what fish are there, how can you catch them, and where to fish?

Man, Ice fishing rivers can get a little tricky around here. I was going fishing once and punched a hole through and the water came out of that thing like an artesian well. Needles to say I did the sneak retreat in a hurry.

i didnt exactly mean the actual river, i meant some of the bays around potsdam. i dont think the river part actually freezes and if it does i dont think it is very thick ice.
