Simcoe was SWEEET Today.

We were a little late getting there today but fished from 9-1. Headed out to 19 fow from Gilford & lucked out at the first place we tried. Pretty steady action which produced a limit for the 2 of us. Mostly 8"-10" perch with a few bigger and some smaller that couldn't be released.

I also prefer hitting the whities but the ice isn't safe in those area's yet. :(
Best is a day where you get your 2 whities early & maybe a couple lakers than move shallower for the perch.

Nice catch Woodsman.
I wasn't sure if it was worth the drive to Simcoe for me, but you just proved it is.
My guess is it would take several hours to clean that many fish, but I wouldn't know for sure  :'(

Looks like I'll be heading for Simcoe to. Took a drive down to lake Erie yesterday and it hasn't even started to freeze >:(, usually we would have anywheres from 200 yards to 1 mile of ice from the shore out there, so far nothing, and if it don't start soon it may never freeze this year, not looking good.  :(
Be safe out there, and set the iron.
