Don't have any advice for you but I am relatively new to the Albany area and looking for places to ice fish.  If you can, pm me some info.  Thanks

My cousin lives in Saranac lake and catches nice pike in lake flower and lower saranac

lower and middle saranac lakes, careful on lake flower lots of current in places. 20 minute drive to Tupper Lake, raquette pond, and simond pond, all productive pike water.
If you consider it a sport to gather your food by drilling through 36 inches of ice and sitting there all day hoping that the food will swim by, you might live in northern New York
