Author Topic: Well, today WAS going to be 1st day of the season! (Read 1880 times)

Went to go start the truck this morning and for some reason my key was missing on the key ring. I called my fiancé, who was on her way to work, and asked where it was. Apparently, today was the right day out of the whole year to get a spare key ( which I obviously don't have ). So now I'm home staring out the window picturing that big early ice pike that won't be caught by me today. I've invested a lot for this season and the weather has been frustrating, so I'm a little mad to say the least. But, it's one of those things where there is not much you can do I guess. Good luck to the few guys I've seen going out today and be safe!

No, I proposed last March on an ice fishing trip in Maine. She likes to ice fish as much as I do. Which is one reason I figured I needed to keep her around

My fiance liked ice fishing, my wife didn't care for it much, my ex wife absolutely hates it, my girlfriend loves it.
I think I might wait a couple more years before I go ring shopping again.

A Guy I know started on his way to work. His car door was locked - unusual. Pulled out his keys. Car key was gone. Went back to the house the door was locked. Pulled out his keys. the key didn’t fit. The start of a bad day......

its amazing what a man will do to get away an out of the house... even sit on a frozen piece of 3 inch ice for 8 hrs.... and really enjoy it....

of course I don't let her know its all that enjoyable... stay safe goodluck

I've got a few buddies that go out every weekend and complain the entire time or do nothing aside from drink.
I often wonder why they even go until I hear a phone start ringing.

Best thing I ever did was quit drinking. My fishing is so much more productive and I have a lot more money to spend on gear
