I Got A Head Start

I ordered some softwater stuff from janns the other month and figured I'd try a couple of their raw unpaited ice jigs.

Powdercoat, some eyes and clearcoat.

Bluegill fry jigs are some of my favorites. I have a bunch ;D

They're great on the open water for bobber jigging as well.

I like the little fish profile too. Only problem is there thin so they can be elusive on the flasher sometimes. They are size 12s so they are pretty small.

I've been filling in the time tying Muddler Minnows and Woolly Buggers. It's fall and the smallies are getting active in the streams. Boy those Muddlers take me a lot of time to tie.

I'll be ordering some banana jigs this week. I don't paint them, I tie them.



Scuds are my other favorite for the hardwater. I call these Crystal Flash Scuds



Try putting a bit of a tail on those Fry jigs.
