Has anyone been out to briggs woods, i know brushy isnt quite ready yet. Or any other ponds/places that may be fishable yet in the area.

I've never fished Briggs Woods Lake. Whats the fishing like there? (not trying to hijack your thread, just curious!)

It's excellent for bass fishing in the summer. Also the pan fishing is decent as far as numbers but I haven't got the size like brushy produces. If you love to bass fish you can catch 50+ a day on a boat 15-17 inches, and that was a few years ago when I had my boat it was a blast! I have never ice fished it but there's a lot of fish in there.

I've ive fished Briggs a few times. Biggest bluegill is about 7" and most crappie are 7 to 7.5" but a few bigger ones do exist. Brushy is a much better lake for panfish! Also depending on your location you might look into interstate park lake.

Any reports on ice thickness at Briggs?  Should be building some ice in a hurry.
