Safe fishing spots

I had to drive far this past weekend to find safe ice. Fished all day just to land 1 fish. Does anyone know of any safe small ponds in Eastern MA or within a hours drive?

Also interested here, I have two little kids and I really need a day out of the house!!! But the hours ride to check isn’t doable for me with the kids.

I usually head up towards Becket, any knowledge of spots with decent ice accumulation would be very appreciated.

Found a couple spots around worcester today with 6 inches of ice.  Smaller back road ponds is a great place to look

Today's weather probably ruined a lot of waters.

Guess we'll all be wishing for cold temps for Christmas?
