Changing hooks to treble hook

I was curious what others are doing with small jigs like Hali jigs. I here others in the tackle shops talking about changing the hooks out , specifically Hali with the dropper chain and small single hook. Are you taking the chains off and adding a split ring and treble or adding the treble to the chain after removing the single hook.

I buy the dropper chain with a beaded treble hook. The chain has a no knot snap for attaching it to a Hali.
