Indian Hill?

A buddy at work ordered a couple IH traps and brought them to work. I was playing with them and noticed they don't have a handle on the reels. All the traps I've owned have had a handle of some sort to wind your line in after you catch a fish. I guess you hold the spool or tighten the drag and wrap the line? I guess it's not a big deal just different then I'm use to.

You can't go wrong with Indian Hill traps, I am on my third season with mine, no complaints here.

when im fishing for trout or other species up high...i love the no handle on my IH's.......shiner wont wrap around it. I just hold the "flag tripper' closed as I wrap after a catch.

When I build my own tipups I build them with out handles on the real because they cause it to be unbalanced and make it more for a fish to drop the bait. That may be the reason Indian Hill builds them that way.
