Hit a local spot this afternoon just north of town to try and track down some eyes. I was shocked to find 6-8" of solid ice! Only marked one fish and I was lucky enough to get him on the ice. When I hooked up and it started taking drag I was all excited waiting to feel the head shake that never came. Wondering **censored** do I have I was shocked to see a nice largemouth stick his face through the hole! Good fight and I was happy we caught the only one we marked and it wasnt a trout lol

Except the lakers, they've grown on me in the last month lol. I know they're char, but they are equally slimy and just as hard for me to fillet lol
