Buddy Heater
« on: Mar 13, 2019, 09:51 AM »
Buddy Heater got a little wet in a rain storm the other day ice fishing. Pilot would not light after this outing. Did a little research on this wonderful forum and found some guys taking canned air spray and rubbing alcohol and cleaning out their pilots and lines. I did that exact thing and also sprayed out the clay stone and WOW what a difference that made. The flame coming out of the pilot is bigger than ever before and the stone got hotter than before as well. Even if your heater is working I suggest trying this to get maximum efficiency out of those little heaters.

Awesome! After about 15 yrs I just pulled my Buddy heater out of service for a new one I picked up at Lowes...end of season clearance two years ago. I was amazed at how much hotter and quieter the new unit was! Now you have me thinking...a little love to my old faithful heater and I just might put it back into service again! We caught many fish and heated up many meals together on frigid days!  Lol!
SO MANY FISH.........SO LITTLE TIME!
