whats everyones go-to perch jig ?
pics are good guys !
wanna see what everyone always goes back too !
-
My go to jig is the rapala jig n rap 2" in rainbow trout color. I put spikes on the treble hook. I'm no expert by any means but I always seem to go back to that jig.
-
I like a red Rat Finkie on a dropper below a spoon.
-
Smallest Perch colored Jiggin Rap, they're cannibalistic critters. Generally like a Red Wolfram or Optic jig with a red plastic wedgee type tail, they like slurping up worms as well
-
For finesse fishing my go to jig is a pink gill pill with a maki plastic tipped with a spike for scent. Best search jig is a rainbow rapala jiggin rap
-
Always go back to the ol pimple minnow head when the bite gets tough
-
Small pimple with 2 waxies for taste
-
I like pimples with a head on it they pop better in the water...lol..sometimes i will put a couple spikes on them

How aggressive do you jig the rap? I have had hit or miss days with my raps.
-
kodiak spoon gold with an eye
-
I like the hali spoons with dropper chains and waxies. I use it for a fast falling search lure, then switch up to a lighter bait for the less aggressive fish.
-
kastmaster or buckshot with a minnow (whichever one is tied on).
-
Bright colored spoon with something good on the end for scent :icefish: but on most lakes I fish they'll hit anything that smells good
-
Slender spoon works for me.
-
Ha ha! I don't see much of a consensus here! Everybody seems to use something different. Leaves lots of fun time for trying them all out though!
-
#3 gft rap with minnow head, blue/silver pimple with minnow head and nitro caty tear drop jig eith minnow head
-
Gold buckshot rattle spoon has been hot up here this year, I seem to do most of my perching with swedish pimples with either the single hook or something small like a Genz worm tied to ha half-inch or so dropper. Hard to beat a glow hali on a lot of days too, especially for fishing deep
-
I love a #2 swedish pimple with a single hook tipped with as hardy of a bait as the fish will allow. But since this is a go to lure page, Its a #2 pimp tipped with a gulp alive smelt minnow head.
-
not just perch but all panfish in general, my go to is a swedish pimple tipped with 2 waxies, ill use horiztonal jigs soometimes, but generally the perch jiggin rap or swedish pimple is all i use, with the pimp being my main lure of choice
-
Try a 1/4 or 3/8 oz Flutterfish and DON'T tip it. Trust me. ;) This fish was caught earlier today and sent to us by a VERY happy guy...

Nice fish. ;D
-
A 50 blue and silver Hali with a maggot until I can get the first perch eye.
If the bite is light I like a chart. genz bug in the smallest size with plastic or a maggot.

I had on a northland doodle bug when I went out the weekend, limited out in 2 hours. I am think I might have to try it again.
