It is a pretty unique deal. Everything and everyone in the ice fishing business is there. They PACK a gigantic auditorium with the A game reps and the newest and coolest gear out there. The guys you see on TV do seminars, and also are available for a quick chat between shows. They even stuff the triple axle wheel houses into the Roy Wilkins auditorium that is attached to the Rivercenter. Some of these wheel houses make the nicest campers look like a dumpster. There are tons of discounted gear and free drawings to enter. Most of the best resorts have people there too make deals on vacations.

Here is a pic I took from a second floor window. Only about half of the show is pictured.

Manch-Vegas would be good- at the Armory. I used to help with a booth there for ABA (American Bass Association) during spring Fishing Expo. Plenty of room and closer for the southern Mainers., who seem to make up a large population of IS guyz.

I'm not gonna lie to you... to make a long drive like that, the show was pretty small last year.  Not saying it won't grow this year, but come expecting less.  I would guess somewhere around 20 booths...some being a waste...like the iceshanty.com booth ..... Just saying......  ::)

I will be making the trip for the first time this year.

I hope to see some affordable, innovative equipment.
Does anyone know the itinerary ?

It would be nice to know who the speakers are, and what the seminar schedule is.

Thanks,

Wiener

They will put that stuff up a little closer to the date.

Dave Genz does allot of seminars, so does Brosdahl. They get a bunch of speakers, all of them are big players.

Thank god Turning Stone Casino is close by. I think I just talked my 'ol lady into an overnight trip. I can sit her in front of the slots and drive out to Syracuse. If the shows a bust, I hit the casino. I'd go just for the oppotunity to bump into some of you guys. Work and safe ice would be the only things holding me back. Who will be representing IS at the Syracuse show?
