I usually buy good quality items but I have been looking at a grill lately at Sam's club that sells for $399.00 It is their item # 285233 or 483522. I think both are the same grill only maybe marketed under 2 different names. The ratings have been good for it, it has over 1000 sq. in. of cooking surface, 8 seperate burner controls, puts out almost twice the BTU's and is somewhat portable. It is made to grill directly with. I am not sure if you can get a griddle for it. I own a welding and fabrication shop, so I will make my own griddle with a grease trough, etc. I thought you may way want to look at this. Happy trails.
