Lacrosse/Onalaska, Wi area
« on: Jan 13, 2021, 06:07 AM »
Hello. My family has gone out ice fishing only a couple times this year. We haven’t gotten a as bite yet. Not sure if we are doing something wrong or sitting in the wrong area. Can someone point me to some spot options we should try?

Hello, just get on 35 south and drive the river road. You will see where cars are parked along the highway, Just join the group and pay attention to what everyone else is doing. There are a lot of places between LaCrosse and Prarie Du Chien. Good luck, hope you all find some fish.

Where have you tried, what are you using as far as lures/bait, do you have electronics?

We have used wax worms with a little jig. No electronics.

Ice jig and waxie should do the trick.  Without electronics I would stick to shallower areas or just fish within a couple feet of bottom.  It's been a tough bite for the last couple weeks though it seems.
