Two People One Flasher
« on: Dec 24, 2011, 12:25 PM »
So I'm sitting around bored and hating the weather ( upper 40's New Years Eve night here in NEIllinois). I was thinking can two people use the same flasher at the same time. I was thinking if I drilled three holes say 2 feet apart and put the transducer in the middle hole would we be able to see both of jigs on one flasher. I kinda figure the depth of the water would make a difference , deeper water being better. Just a thought. Thanks in advance. Lets hope for some consistent colder temps for all.

I do it with my Vexilar 22, most of the time you can see both jigs, but it also depends on how deep your fishing

It would work great. All you have to do is figure out how to drill two holes and have one of them be the middle hole.
It seems to go from zero to hero all some have to do is lie.

anything is better than nothing unless it is a dead hole on the other side of the stump.

Ive done this lots of time...usually helps sell a few flashers to the guys who get to use the other hole...Plus its fun to see someone watch the wonders of sonar.

i always fish 3 holes and the three hole method works and you don't have to handle the trans ducer when fighting a fish

Definately works with an x67. Small screen can get cluttered though.

Yust make sure you don't think the other guys jig is a fish!  It can get to be a bit of a pain with two jigs down there both marking, but better than fishing blind.

Done it with my old fl8 works good.  Only my buddy was too clueless to read the flasher and I had to coach him as well as watch mine.

I do this with my Humminbird Ice 35.  I drill 3 holes in a triangular shape about 18 inches apart.  I put the transducer in one hole and each of us fish the other hole.  Works well.  Does get to be a pain if you both are fishing the same depth because the jigs are both marked at the same depth.

I do it all the time.  Three holes on 2 foot centers.  Transducer in center hole.  One jig just off the bottom and the other about 6-7 feet below the ice.  If you fish them both deep a fish can easily tangle your rods.  Works great and you can easily see both jigs.

I just say... i bet you wish you had a vex too.... LOL... Actually If im fishing with someone that doesnt have one, we just take turns using it... it also really sells them on buying one of their own, since they catch 2 - 3 times more fish using the flasher.....
