Cold Gear
« on: Oct 22, 2006, 06:41 PM »
I was just curious as to what clothing you guys use for ice fishing.  I bought an Ice Armor suit from Clam Corp last year and I love it.  I also bought their waterproof gloves and they're fantastic.  I see that they came out with a new Extreme Suit this year, anybody pick one up yet?

I also use some of the Under Armor Cold Gear.  With this combo I haven't been cold once.

One day I might be able to afford some ice armor. But for now Lacrosse Ice King Boots, long johns, flannel pants, Flannel shirt,One piece snow suit with hood,Stocking hat,Gloves, and hand warmers in gloves and toes of boots no matter what the toes are cold. I stayed pretty warm even -20 a couple years ago.

I bought some Mickey mouse boots from the sportsmans guide about 10 years ago, and have never had cold feet since. I've even gone over to tops of my boots in slush - pretty cold at first - but they warm back up. You can usually find early season deals. I think I paid $35.00.

I have a Browning Gor Tex parka that has a removable liner for soft water fishing, matching bibs, Carhart stocking hat, wool gloves with finger tips cutout,  those rubber mittens with removable liner, Under Armour cold gear, and Sorel Chieften boots.

Im all about the Ice Armour suit as well, I dont like there gloves not as advertised, but I bought a lined fleece jacked as well and it works great over the bibs.

Last season I won the Gerbings hand warmer and Im ready to give it a try this season. I looking at under armour as we speak, but have not decided if I need to take the plunge yet, I stay warm easy,
