I go to the bait shop there (when you pull in to the bar take a right and go up the hill) and pay to park by the bar and walk the tunnel underneath. Be aware there is normally water in the tunnels so muck boots and a sled with no holes is best. There are also several spots guys park along the highway and walk across the tracks (don't tell the railroad) and then drop down to the water. It can be steep at places so be careful, no one likes to roll down a hill with their gear trailing them. Good luck out there, I try to hit is a few times a season but it is an hour away from where I live.

Was just there today. The tunnel underneath had probably 4-5” of water. Kind of nasty to walk in. Ice was 5-6” few nice perch, a crappie and a bluegill. Water was dirty couldn’t see much on my cam. First time I’ve been there.

Ericsat1, Desoto bay is along the Mississippi river, just north of Desoto. Once there is ice you can't miss all the vehicles parked along the road. it is a bay off the river.
