Title: Finicky Fooler - Hole Cover?
Post by: burtmcgurt on Jan 03, 2024, 04:19 PM
Over the weekend, I went fishing using a finicky fooler with a hole cover. However, several times, I noticed that the line was at a sharp angle and hitting the side of the hole cover. This was followed by the fish dropping the bait.

Has anyone else run into this? I think part of the problem could have been caused by the target species, splake, which can be very sensitive and finicky.

I have a few foolers but don't use them much. If I were to start using them more I think I'd be investing in some of the automatic fisherman bobbers with the "antifreeze" fluid in them. I think they'd work better than the hole covers but have yet to try
