I drove out to Strasbourg on Sunday and it's locked up from Valeport to Regina Beach, maybe further but the ice heaves are HUGE.

I was out this morning at daybreak/ Walked out 1.1 mile in front of Canyon Beach. Sitting on 6 inches of ice over 26 feet of water and caught a couple small perch.
Then the fog rolled in and could hardly see ten feet in front of me. The fish stopped biting probably got pretty dark down there. Had to follow my tracks to get back to the truck but could have used the gps if I had to. Going to give a rest for a few days.

Got on to Little Arm recently, about 5 - 6 " ice. We saw lots of carp and a few wallys on camera.
When I'm done drillin' - all that's left is an 8 inch wide, moist, dark hole that smells fishy......

I agree anglerbrian, carp would be a blast to ice fish for.
I have read that they are tough to catch through the ice, but, at times, it can be done. ;)
Here is an In-Fisherman link to ice fishing for carp ---> https://www.in-fisherman.com/editorial/mission-impossible-ice-fishing-carp/154003

Any more reports on ice thickness? I was hoping to go out later today, looking mostly for perch and walleye.

I heard about a guy who fell throw the ice and drowned on last mountain recently. This is word of mouth news so not 100 percent certain of it but if anyone has any more information about it I'd appreciate the full story

Never heard anything like that. I was out today and drilled out to 30 feet of water, I was a consistent 7 inches.

I was out yesterday as well we took a quad and trailer full of gear out to 29 feet 7.5 inches of good black  ice.
At the edge of the drop off to deeper water the ice was only 6 inches. I am hoping for a couple weeks of cold weather
to make the ice little thicker so can go to  my waypoints  from past years. Oh i should mention we were somewhere between Midway and Arlington.

I hope I’ve put the following on The Last Mountain page.
I was out at Glen Harbour Sunday, November 30th.  Didn’t get out to fish walk on and out about 10 feet, consistent 6 inches thick. A heave over to the barn starting from the point where some walked out to fish. Another guy walked out at Moors and was fishing.

I'm fishing north of the regional park at the north end of Last Mountain.  Ice is 12 inches so I drove to one of my regular spots looking for pike not even a nibble in the first hour.

Three of my buddies and I were fishing at Collingwood yesterday and the bite was pretty good for us ... fairly consistent  ice thickness of 7”.
One of my buddies and I discovered that someone had damaged both of our vehicles that  were parked on the shore.  It  appears to be an ice auger that caused the damage.....
I understand accidents happen , but when you do have an accident and don’t leave a contact number that’s unacceptable 😡
I ask the guilty person to please contact me and we can sort this out how it should done .
If anyone else knows of this happening, please contact , thanks...
I have included pics....

Nice fish Walleyslayer306.  Thinking of heading to LML around Triple T Beach.  Is it safe to walk on from there?  Pretty safe walking on all around LML?  Any help would be appreciated.

Fishing has been slow in my usual spots the past two days, last week the fishing was really good maybe once we get this cold front it’ll pick up! Still first ice so walleyes should be hot!

Ice in the bay at Triple t is 12inches thick just  out in the main part of the lake  9 inches and heading east to about  26  plus foot depths much thinner.
