A NOTE FROM YOUR NEBRASKA ICE MAP TEAM:
Remember when the snow melts on the ice during "warm-up" periods, the snow is also melting on the fields around the fishery as well.  That warmer water run-off can affect the condition of ice from below!
Shorelines as well as inflow paths from creeks or springs are some of the first to be affected while other areas of the fishery appear to have "solid" ice.
