One last Sturgeon trip
« on: Mar 01, 2018, 07:32 AM »
The St Croix Catch and Release Sturgeon season ends today here in MN (3/1).   We made one last trip over there in search of a Giant.  This sort of fishing isn’t for everyone, since it usually involves a lot of waiting and down time, but the moment a huge fish gets hooked up, you forget all about the hours you spent waiting for it!

Wow, nice video.  even a “small” sturgeon is huge compared to any just about any other freshwater fish. The only sturgeons we have out here are in salt and we basically can’t touch them.

Nice job on the video, never seen a salamander caught while fishing!

Thanks guys!

Here in MN we have a Catch and Release season that generally runs from June-mid April and only closes for a couple of months for spawning protections.
