Garmin striker 4
« on: Feb 28, 2018, 05:23 PM »
Have any of you guys used a garmin striker 4?, ive used vexilars before and i like them, but i see that a striker 4 is a lot cheaper than even an fl-8, would a striker 4 be a good way to save a decent amount of money for ice fishing or should i spend the extra cash and get a vex?

I have one, I like it.  If you go on youtube and search Garmin Striker ice I've got a few videos of it in use and so do others.  I think for a unit to use both ice and open water the Garmin with traditional graph mode and GPS makes a lot more sense than the Vex.  This years model the Plus 4 lets you combine the GPS and sonar data to create contour maps and has a bit bigger screen as well.
I'm a man, but I can change, If I have to, I guess.
