Didn't see ice this year. Put in new gasket kit on the carb and just got he tuned in after a few days of tinkering.
It would start one pull cold
Started it and got her warm and gave it some gas and Bang ! That's all she wrote locked up
So in the market for a new power auger! Looking for bottom of the market price wise and bang for my buck. Looking for any suggestions or experiences with something I should consider or not.

Buddy of mine was given a power head 2hp strikemaster ....didnt run locked up .....took it apart ...found the carburator nut(lil beat up ) atop the piston ...reassembled and ran. worth a look . Lota good sites to choose from L&M,Blains,Sportsmanguide ... all bout price and make good luck with your search

Yeah I figure even if I buy a new auger I will be tearing the old one down and do what I can . If rebuild parts are not too much I will probly rebuild it as a project just to say I can. Plus can't hurt to have a back up
I'll defiantly crack it open before I get to the store

   Oil the cylinder good and see if you can get it to turn over. Might have to turn on the shaft to get it to free up.
