jigging pike, lures, techniques needed
« on: Jan 01, 2014, 10:50 AM »
I typically set 2 traps, grab a vexi, rod and bucket, and go chasing panners. We tip up fish this one lake, that has a good pop. of pike, and a god pop, of dink panfish, so I don't go after them anymore, but I would like to do the same type fishing, but with a jig stick for pike. I have a uglystick med-heavy with 8 lb on it.I have posted this on a few sites,  and will purchase my lures based on those that overlap. For instance, I have seen lindy darters, on 3 different sites so far. Do you guys tip your baits?, my leaders on tu's are 20 lb floro.

The red eye spoon oldie good for shallow water ....  You get a good wobble in a small space.  Jig up let her wobble down on slack ...
