Better Late than never!

The first day out for 2024 turned out to be a good one.  We caught some nice perch and picke and cooked up some good eats as well.  One of the weekends it was too hot to walk on water in January  I made up a pile of venison boudin sausage.  Today we cooked it up in an egg Scramble (Hawkeye 's idea), wow was it good.

Hawkeye did come up with the boudin  Scramble however it was when he and his buddies fished Friday.   They had the day off from school.  Maybe if Dad was with them they would have caught more than a hammer  handel. ;D

  Hawkeye had to work today.

That's what I'm talking about.  It gets harder and harder as they get older.  My son's 20 now and our first day out on the ice will be tomorrow morning and then I drive him back to school tomorrow night.

That is the truth!  At the same time it is fun seeing him doing it on his own. Last season was the first season he had his license.

I wouldn't change the highs, lows and struggles we have had on the ice for anything.
