Title: Smelt scent ?

Anyone have any luck with with giving live shiners some “artificial " smelt scent?

Not shiners but plastics.  Stopped using it after a while, saw no difference in catch rates.

I used Smelt -Rite one year at a fish tourney on shiners. All my friends laughed at me until I won the tourney with the largest pike.

My buddies traps/shiners surrounded set-up  that day but Mr. Pike ate my shiner loaded with Smelt-Rite ??
