Has anyone recovered a Shappell 3000 or 4000?

Monday I will have a new cover for my S-4000. Shappell only offers the DX as replacement for the 4000. Nice upgrade from the old S series.
The installation directions on their website seem to be good.
I'm just looking for first hand experience and any pointers that might not be in the directions.
