Although I have not specifically been on Plainfield Pond in quite some time, given the amount of ice on other lakes/ponds in the vicinity, I would be very surprised if there was not still plenty of safe ice on it.

My guess (admittedly just that) is that there is still 2 feet of ice on Plainfield Pond - - although, even then, there may be some "sketchy" spots along the shore.

This time of year, I think you are always better off accessing a pond from a southern shore. The sun hasn't been hitting the bank all day. That is the case with Plainfield. I hope you tell us what you found.
