Caught my first pike through the ice today

Today I went over to lake dunmore, caught a bunch of dink perch, up until noon. I sat down to have a little food and the tip up right in front of me went off. After about a 15 minute fight I ended up pulling a 30 inch pike through the ice. I caught it on a tip up in 15 fow. I hooked onto an even bigger one about fifteen minutes later, but it broke off when I went to grab it in the hole. Need less to say I think im pretty hooked on pike fishing.

yea pretty fun isn't it..  if  your going to keep going after them do yourself a favor and pick up a gaff  you can get them up out of the hole a lot easier  you can hook them and pull them out and not hurt them if your looking to release them.  Good luck..
