Opinions
« on: Oct 22, 2009, 12:17 PM »
Hey everyone!
I am looking for your opinions on ATVs.  I am going to be in the market soon for a used 4x4. I have never owned one before so I have no idea where to start.

So what do you all think.
What are your favorite makes and models and why?

Thanks :)

I own an 05 Arctic Cat 400 Auto and it has been trouble free for me. It has the features that I like; 4x4 with locking front differential, hi and low range, independent suspension and a wet clutch. It isn't fuel injected, but it always starts no matter how cold it gets. All brands make good ATVs, just get the features that you want.
It seems to go from zero to hero all some have to do is lie.

I have an Arctic Cat 500 and a Honda Rancher. Both 4x4, but the Honda is better in the snow.

I like an ATV with a solid rear axle. On one with independent rear suspection cv joints wear out after time and need replacing and since the rear is always turning the more miles means more wear. Just my 2ct.

The older Yamaha 350 Wolverines are a nice 4x4. Full racks for lots of storage, one of the lightest and quickest 4x4 ive driven. Good in snow and great on gas.
