Karl, I think the place is loaded with them. I just need to zero in on them. I put 3 traps in there today. Went back an hour later and there were 10 of them in 2 of the traps. I left them over night tonight,,,we will see in the morning. I think I need some special traps for the bigger ones! ;)

Wow.  Nice Bob..Goldies too.  All I can get are dace...but beggars can't be choosers. I don't really know of any golden spots, so I'll just take the dace I guess?  I should be able to meet you after 2:30 if it agrees w/ your schedule.

What did you guys give up on the bait catching already? I checked my traps this morning and had a few more goldens in them for the tank. The tank is looking good so far. How are you guys doing so far?

I've got around 200 in the tanks now, so i'm stopping.  I'm going to have a short season anyways.  if i run through what i have, i'l hit up the local baitshop.  Don't want to drain my source anyways.

I've pretty much stopped catching bait as well.  I've got about 300 dace I'm guessing in my tank...probably 100 in the 6-8" range.  November 1st.....too busy deer hunting now.

Jeeps, that's a nice Goldie...Are there more of them in there??? I have a bunch but not that big.

Whitetail, any deer yet? Stop passing on the small racks, they taste just as good.

For you Karl, i'll give you a freebie, got the big ones out of the oxbow, on the Ct river in northhampton while pan fishing.  Not really giving away a spot with that one, plenty of em to go around there.    ;D

Pikeking....Thanks for asking.  Nothing yet....only because I haven't decided to take one with the bow.  I've passed on 3 bucks(small spikehorns) and about 6 different does.  I'll get tired of that pretty quick...but with the early part of November coming up...I don't want to use up tags too quick.

Nice bait guys. ;D

I have a question, how often should you be feeding the bait that you have caught now and are holding in the tank? I have heard that as the winter progresses, and the water temps go down to 40 degrees, you can stop feeding them entirely. I keep my bait in a box in a small pond. Also, what are you feeding them?
