isn't AV gas leaded?? We as the end users are getting screwed by the fuel companies. Everything in engines has greatly improved but the quality of gas has not. You never know from one tank to the next what you will receive.

I have yet to start my M43 up. Maybe next week. No real hurry as ice is sketchy on my local lake.

Thanks for showing us your pics, of your first time out this year!
I hope to have one to show you today as it will be my first time out today for a short day... only to get ready for tomorrow.

Thanks again to you BOTH for your advise on what to do for my first start up and break in. It helped so much.
   Surf your were also right.. nothing feels better than hearing that Engine purrrrrrrr! ( hope my neighbors felt the same as I broke her in last night on my driveway at 6:30 pm... LOL ...

  Well it is now 4:37 am... been awake since 2:00 am.. LOL ... ( Which is the norm on the night before any fishing trip)
On my third cup of coffee and am heading to the Man Dungeon to get the rest of my stuff ready to but my Eskimo to the test to day.

Hey!!! We're in the middle of a record setting blizzard/snow storm here, Mr. S. Lizard!!!!!! I just saw three rabbits go by in a Sno-cat, and one on a snowmobile!!!!! We probably ain't gonna be dug out until Spring, especially when we get that -15 temps tonite and tomorrow!! It's blowin' soooo hard right now, I honestly can't see ANYTHING one foot past my picture window. The wind is just howling...plus we lost power for about 1 1/2 hours or so today. They'll find me frozen in a block of ice 100 years from now, holding a strange, red, auger-like device in one hand, and a gold, metal cylinder in the other with strange letters that look like "MGD" on it...

So I was just out in the garage talking to my MO. She is just sitting there twitching. She can wait to get out on the ice in a few hours. She said she was very happy with the new carb kit and that she would rip through the ice tomorrow. I don't think I will sleep tonight knowing that she is so ready to hit the ice.

First Blood or I guess... My first day of "Mo" Ice.

Packed up and ready to haul it all back to the parking lot.

Thanks again for all of the help and ADVICE from "Surflizard", "Rebelss" and others. It all was very useful .....
and... and ... Yes .... EVEN the Recipe for the "Pork Rind Pudding" .... Thanks again Surf.

You are so right " Surf" it is about enjoying the day and getting outside to relax and run from Ice Hole to ice Hole.
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention having Quality Time with my New friend " Mo".

Here we're buried under 15" of snow and it's below zero with the wind howling and piling up the drifts. Don't even know WHERE to start to dig out.....looks like the rig worked for ya...nice set up...and fish!!!! Have fun!!! I'm gonna try to figure out how to find my driveway!

Haven't heard the official tally here. 20 or more for sure. I'm just north of St. Paul. And if we're not having fun yet, my furnace went out last night. Thermocouple. Trying to locate one as I type.

Welcome to my life. This is not unusual. Space heaters, oven going, electric blanket and faucets running. Hehe. In my robe and slippers yet. 75 degrees. Waiting for the hardware store to open. They had one last time. Have to get it running before tonight. Supposed to be -15.

I hear ya on the snow. Just don't hurt yourself trying to move it.

You guys stay safe out there ! I'm on the other end of the weather spectrum, the rains coming down in buckets, 3 to 5 inches of rain, 40 to 50 MPH winds coming in tonight ! The flood watches and power outage watches are popping up as I type, So much for the start of our season !
