Not the story I'm being told.
Ice blew out last night.

Sucks but it is what it is.

Good luck!

I cannot imagine an entire winter without fishable ice - - which is what I understand has been the case the last year or so down your way.

Fingers crossed that you're able to get out soon.

The infamous 911 crack opened up this morning with the south breeze.

Hopefully, guys will wait a little longer before venturing west off of Catawba.

Took a ride to the state park today to put my own eyes on the ice. A lot of pack ice shoved in like it was 2 years ago. No one out. Mouse to put in bay open water. Put in bay west to green looks like a huge ice wall hopefully the island guys got lucky to keep there ice. A lot of ice off the state park but could see pockets of open water. I am hoping for next weekend but man with a spud could probably figure it out by Monday.    :tipup:Mark

Looks like the only fishing to be had on the islands is in Put-In-Bay harbor.

The ice looks locked up from Middle Bass to Ratelsnake but is all new ice since the big blow.

I hope by end of next week, there will be some fishing if we dont get too much wind.

Below is the Middle Bass web cam link.

Hoping to make it up next Thursday or Friday.  After that the wind looks to be shifting to out of the SW and picking up in speed

Out here on Catawba now. 5-7 in inside the shove spudded my way through only 2-3 on the other side be very careful the ice is all over the board. No luck so far today. The guy across from me was here all morning with a camera and has not seen anything but shad. Made it to about 1.2 almost dead west out of the state park. Be extra careful.  :tipup:mark
