Any one Know if The Qaubaug is SAFE!!

define safe....

the back has been frozen all year, but the front has just frozen over again.  there is proably 4 inches by the boat ramp.

I am going out saturday in the back... so ..  yes, it is safe

Not sure.. Going to work I say a guy really testing the ice where you usually would drive a truck on at... When I was coming home this afternoon I thought I saw a truck back where the river goes to south pond... + I saw tracks on the ice where you would drive at... But don't hold me to any of this though... I really need binoculars to see all the way back...

yea I was there at lake view pond on sunday there was 4 inches in some spots there were 5 to 6 but on the right there was only 2.

as of 10am this morning march 2,2006 there is 6-8inchs ofnew black ice. walked off the boat ramp about thirty yards and chipped a hole. then walked out another 20 yards and chipped another hole with the same results. there is a small amount of open water where the brookfield river enters quabog but other than that there is good solid black ice . happy fishing

Sorry finish to last post, My son hit post button. In the back it was safe, the guys that went on Wednesday said you could launch a boat from the ramp.
