Browning has had 12" for the last month, but it has been slow excpet for small pickeral.   Fished Doane Pond in North Brookfield Sunday and Saturday and had about 12-14" of Ice.  Fishing again was slow, but both days were nice.

Drove by Eagle Lake in Holden (off 122A) past Wachusett high on the left, a large portion has refrozen. Peter Carr Pond a.k.a (Spring Hill pond) on Princeton St. in Holden looks safe, spotted some recent holes bored there and there is no recent refreeze either. no smooth stuff...
Indian Lake in Worcester looks very unsafe, the place has barely iced over.

Yes, in my last Post i mentioned Spring Hill Pond, wrong name! i meant Maple Spring Pond. The ice there looked safe from shore, there was no smooth refozen areas which in my opinion may be on the thin side. There were recent holes bored at both ends of the Pond too...

To quote some other guys that were there when I asked them how they were doing :
'Great' they said 'we are having a good day, we are out of the house....fishing sucks tho'
I got skunked but it was great to be out of the house in the fresh air. I did lose one shiner off a leader so I guessed that something toothy must have come along.

hey, porter i go to this place called rocky pond. I just like it because it is never crowded like Comet and all those big places and you can have a fire on the ice and stuuf like that. I actually dont live in boylston but my dad work at an autobody shop cuople miles away and at his lunch brake he usually goes and check the ice. Its my little secret spot  ;D .......

Heads up at Rocky, Last week a friend of mine who works for Mass Wildlife fishes there and put his ice Chisle thru some thin stuff with one one stroke...

Fished Sergents this weekend 6 to 7" of ice there. caught some big Perch 13-14"...Two Largemouths 16 and 18"...

Browining Pond had 12-14 inches.  We drove a 1/2 ton truck out to the back yesterday....  fished from 6:30 am to 1pm and caught nothing but a decent Buzz

I was at Browning yesterday, so cold that the river was starting to skim over. It was so cold that I felt sorry for the shiners when I took them out of the bait bucket. It was so cold that when I tried to lubricate my knots with saliva it froze before I could tighten them - means more ice  ;D
