Happy Holidays All, I hope all good came to all! I have a set of HT Ice Riggers that are driving me crazy
I would like to use these things when I set up my dead sticks. However when I set them up on the ice they just do not release the line from the the clip when a fish takes the bait. I can see the rod bobbing on the take but no line release or flag occurs. This means the fish drops the bait. The crazy part is when I set these riggers up in the house they work like a charm. I'm wondering if the mono is getting frozen or stiff or if the tubing on the line release clip is also getting stiff? Has anyone else had these problems, if so what did you do to fix them? For the time being I have gone back to putting a rubber band on my foregrips for my line release.
