What depth?

Been fishing a small lake for bass and pike,the contour of the lake pretty much a bowl at 10-13ft parks dept. went out last summer and killed all the vegetation now there is pretty much no structure to fish. I know fish will come up to take the bait before they go down for it. Tried the spinner blades with no success maybe its how I'm hooking the minnow tried thruogh the nose and at the dorsal any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

what i do is tie on a hali jig and top with a mousie grub. then send down to bottom. give it a couple jigs and wait. the strike will come on the wait part. do this all the way up your colum till you find the right depth. for the tip-ups, i usually put a medium minnow on a #4 hook and send it down to about a foot off the bottom and just wait for the flag.
