My New Homemade Center Console For My Trap
« on: Dec 01, 2013, 09:09 AM »
Well....I am going to be more organized this year, so I made this center console for my fish trap, will fit nicely between the 2 seats, or if I take a seat out it will slide over and still will be beside me,  made from 7/8" white oak, hardboard on bottom, 9 1/2"wide", 2 cup holders, and four other compartments to put what-ever in. A cleat on each end holds it secure over edge of tub and seat rail. Give me your thoughts. Thanks Smitty.

Looks Great man. Is it made out of wood? Pretty heavy?

The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad.

It weighs approx. 2lbs., cutting out all the compartments lightened it up alot, hardboard on bottom weighs next to nothing.

I got 2 coats of spar urethane on it, that should protect it for a good while.

Now all you need to do is make it the top of a rod storage box below it.

Very nice, consider a cribbage board in the middle? Nevermind, that would mess with the fishing...
