Clam Nannook XL V. Claim Yukon XL
« on: Oct 18, 2020, 03:27 PM »
I'm looking at buying a new flipover and am looking at both the Claim Nanook XL Thermal and the Yukon XL Thermal.  For the life of me I can't figure out what the difference is between the two besides the Yukon having padded and adjustable seats.  Is there any other differences for the additional $200 the Yukon costs?

If you are a taller guy and want more space for storage and movement go with the Yukon XL. I had the Yukon XL Thermal and upgraded to the X200 Thermal a couple of years ago. I'm 6'-3" and the taller (75" vs 82") X200 was a big improvement for when you are moving around inside and gives you the extra room for longer rods.

I bought the Yukon a few years ago.  I looked at a lot of them and the Nanook and Legend where also on the list.  I decided on the Yukon because of the space and height.  Sitting in the chair is really good, but you need to stand up and stretch once in a while, and this is where the height comes in.

Love the Yukon and this one is my favorite.

I have the Yukon and my buddy has the Nanook.  We both would rather fish out of the Yukon, even when we are alone.  You just don’t want to drag it too far or if you have a machine then no issue.
