Farmers Almanac...

Every year a bunch of folks SWEAR by the farmers almanac.....did they see this mild winter coming?  If I remember correctly they were calling for a rather harsh winter in  this neck of the woods.  Seems like the kind of thing where if they get it right everyone is amazed and when they get it wrong no one remembers....

Icegeek, they use science just like the weather geeks,

I believe they use sunspots and other phenomena to generate their weather reports

I am sure their reports overall are just as inaccurate as the meteorologist on the boob tube!

I've never picked up a copy....I just find it hard to believe they can predict anything out a year in advance.....

I think their weather models worked a lot better in the pre- La Nina, global warming,
twist in the jetstream modern era.  Nobody could have guessed that it would be 50
outside in the end of Jan.  In the days before the weather channel they were the
authority even if they were statistically right only 50 percent of the time.  They use
some serious voodoo to come up with their predictions.
