Marmooska jigs
« on: Dec 20, 2005, 07:34 AM »
I got my local bait shop to get some for me.I put a couple spikes on them and so far I got Pumkinseed ,Crappie,Yellows, and a nice Bass. I had a guy give me a couple about two years ago and I did well with them but,I could never find them.
If it was that easy, everyone would do it!

There are numerous places online that have them. And also check e-bay. I see them on there a lot.

What are the most popular sizes.

Mac

Mac, 12's are the probably the most popular size that people use for panfish. If the panfish are really wary, you may have to go to a 14 or even a size 16(which is the smallest).

has anybody been able to catch perch, eye's, bass, picks, on a # 12
The more fish we release, is more fish we all can catch.  b/c we all like to catch.   Catch, Photo, Release!!  Such an easy concept, but so hard for others to understand!!!!!

These are some of the best jigs out there.  The bright orange and black is my main
go to jig for gills.  The thin wire hooks are razor sharp.  They a heavy enough to get
back down quick too.  The other colors I use are chartruse, black, and white.  Give
marmooskas a try.  They have iced a ton of fish for me.

I love Marmooskas, and have quite an array of colors and sizes in my collection...they're consistantly my best bluegill jig, and quite often are the only jig to get perch when the bite is tough...I don't know what it is about them, because they're not a real unique shape...but man do they catch fish!!

I put one on the last time I fished,The fish were kinda tight lipped, but when I put one on.WHAM!!,when they hit it I knew it.
Still turned out to be a slow day,but I got more action with a Marmooska.

They're heavy enough to get down fast and they show up well on the vex.  Love 'em.
