I'm trying to post a few pictures of my own, but I've never done it before. The pictures are from a regular camera but I have a digital camera and I was thinking of taking pictures of the actual pictures with my digital camera does anyone know if this will work?

Gillles,

Your best bet is to take take the photos somewhere and have them scanned into image files.

If that's not practical try placing them on a table, light them with a lamp or overhead light (but not too bright to avoid glare). Turn the flash off on the digital camera and get a shot while holding the camera directly over the photo and as close to horizontal (flat) as possible. If your digital camera has a Macro setting for close up work, try that.

It won't hurt to experiment as you can always delete the poor shots until you get something useable.  :'(

Turns out Ice Leaders block _all_ URLs on their site that are "unauthorized", They must be beholden to their advertisers. So I guess the admins here on the coolest ice fishing site in the world are blocking them to show how lame that is.

Check out the limtations on their User Agreement. Numbers 3, 5 and 8 show just how repressing they are. A person can't even state, "By the way, www.fishin-deals.com has a great price on the 'Speedy Reel 3000', check it out."

I refuse to use them or their links to products because of their supression tactics. Unfortunately they are free to do what they want, however I am likewise free to boycott them and their advertisers.

I know you were trying to help Gillles and I'm not a bit upset with you so please don't misunderstand :)  I just can't stomach the lack of freedom of information I have come to expect and value here.

Colorado Ice,  I hear ya about the freedom of speech and the whole blocking deal.  I don't know why they would do that, there's no money involved.  I'm hoping I will be able to post the pictures soon.  Did you check out Ice leaders, it has a great Colorado forum and thats where I do most of my fishing.  Its been kind of a rough season for trout and warm water fish but lately I've been doing pretty good with the macks at Grand lake and Granby.  Have you been anywhere lately?
