i take a size 8 ,10 and even a #12 aberdeen hook in bronze or gold. get some bb round split shot. i have mine shipped to my kid in arizona and then she sends them to me.[ no sinkers under 1/2 ounce sold or shipped in ny
] i take a knife and open the splitshot wide enough to set the hook in and then crimp it on with a pair of pliers or split ring pliers. i put either 1 or 2 shot on per hook. then i use protec paint and paint them in whatever color i want. hey it works for me. you can get 945 bb shots from cabelas for 7 $ plus s/h. the hooks sell bulk for around 3 cents each. the paint is the costly part but a 2 ounce jar lasts for ever. for way less then a dime each , you can make these up.
