squid?

has anyone ever used squid tenticals,I know they work great for coho,but what about gills and crappie?
if your not walking on water, then you're not icefishing!

DD,  I use squid almost every trip!  Don't know about little crappies and other panfish, but trout, salmon, burbot, etc... like them!  I would think one tenticle would produce for the little panfish ;D!

I use squid tentacles alot for their action and scent on my glow jigs for burbot ;)

Here you couldn't find stuff like that, it is hard enough to find suckers >:(

you can probably find it at your local grocery store in the seafood section.

Icefishingbear,  You can get Squid were Daffydone stated.  You can also find them in the oriental retail stores, seafood wholesalers, and try the specialty markets that sell the bizarre and unique food items.  Try to get the smallest "whole" squid they have.  The tenticles are the best parts for fishing and can be hooked singular or in groups depending on what your fishing for.  If you live in the Springs area, there are a couple oriental food markets off the main drag. ;)  -Barleydog

I tried pieces of frozen squid from grocery store and
liked it. Pretty tough stuff.
