Yep, Flash Frozen Perchies are my all time favorite.   Is someone charging access to drive on from Lonies?   Unless someone owns the Lake, I doubt that anyone can charge an admission fee.

Don't fish here but is it possibly some money to Help cover snow clearing costs for access rather than an I own the lake fee?

I think it's a good idea if they are going to keep the launch clean for easy access. And it's really no different then in the summer time I go to lots of lakes to launch my boat and they have launch fees.

this is a fee this guy is putting in his pocket. nobody charges for lake access in winter. not even provincial govt.

I didn't mean it that way guys. If they are using it for a good purpose like keeping the launch cleared and such, then I have zero problem giving $5.00 for that. I have paid many 5 dollar bills for use of Summer launches.   No biggy to me.   I think we all spend more than that on new lures. line, fuel and other things during the Winter Season.   All part of the game.

Well looks like there will be a charge to access lake through loneys point and sand point. Village of south lake is saying you will need a daily or seasonal pass to drive on. Just thought Id let you know! Was at Valley View and got into some perch:)

There are lots of spots to get on the lake other than Loneys. It is too crowded and the fishing is better in other areas. Save your money, get away from the crowds and actually catch some fish. Good luck and be safe out there. See you on the ice.

Valley view has a little Boat Launch that you can drive right up to, wouldnt take anything but a sled or a quad right now, your best chances in my opinion are closer to the middle of the lake.
