Yeah I am one of them and the other is Crawpie

We are on a year long quest to catch and eat every species of freshwater fish in the  state of NH...

I thought some of you Shanty members would get a kick out of this project, so if you're interested check our our website.

So far we've done two species, so 47 to go!

  • Arctic Armor, it's not just for ice fishing!!!
Catching the minnow types on hook and line should be nearly as interesting as cooking and eating them! ;D

My brother ate a Killiefish filleted when we were kids, he said it wasn't bad.

The American Ell will be good if prepared properly, Mom used to cook those for us when we were kids and caught them.

I'm interested in how you'll clean and cook the Carp.

Are there not any freshwater Drum (Sheepshead) in NH?
Give a man a fish and you'll feed him for a day, give him a religion and he'll starve to death while praying for a fish... author unknown

Nope no drum.
Carp we are really looking forward to, because in NH you can bowhunt for them, not looking forward to eating them though...

We've caught lots of minnows on hooks in the past for bait so catching them to eat should work... we'll see

Part of the challenge is finding time, we live almost a hundred miles from each other and have to juggle our families and jobs to get this done..
