i went to long, rogerspark, and flint around noon and not one person out fishing....looked like a lot of slush...at long you will need a 4x4 just to get to the landing and a truck was there which a guy was fishing the north end of lake and he went in...but was ok....so it doesnt look good for the next few days...steve

I would say it won't be good for the upcoming week until we loose some snow and temps are in the single digits for a couple days. I am headed north next weekend for ice.

I was on South end of long. Lots of slush but was safe if using Spud to make sure. N yeah I talked to that guy as well. I think he walked over hot spring or Spud hope opened up. North side had sketchy ice for sure tho. Caught only 3 all toss backs.

No but be careful. It's slop and some spots are real sketchy on long lake, Warm springs spots are supper thin and a guy fell halfway In on North end of long just out from boat ramp. South end is good but still had some soft spots where spings are. Spud spud Spud bud. Be careful be safe take your picks as well. Good luck on the outing let us know how you do and what ice conditions are.

Wow nice job i should consider loomis more often! I have not ice fished there much as i just got back into after 5 years i used to catch em through the ice back when and have tried last couple years from shore a handful of times during spawn without much luck just assumed the population wasnt that great anymore! Thanks for the insight
