Didn't want to say much about my uncle we lost ON SUNDAY MORNING, but asking for prayers as we lay him to rest on sat.
He had a heart attack right on the ice on Sunday after he pulled his shanty out on James. there were 2 guys there and said nothing they could do, he fell backwards and was gone in an instant. the guys that were out there did what they could but he was gone in a minute the guy told us. he was cpr certified and said there was nothing they could do. thanks for the two guys that was there and tried to help, greatly appreciate that. dont know if they are on ice shanty, but thank them for all they done for my uncle!!! prayers for our family on this
terrible loss that we are going through!!!! only one good thing from this whole situation was he went while he was doing what he loved!!!

My sincerest condolences.  :'(

May I ask his age?
I live in the midwest now but have fond memories of fishing in New England as a kid.

Sorry for your lost!  Prayers for you and your family.  The older guy I fished with tonight has had heart problems in the past.  He loves fishing Sylvan but getting back up that hill at GSP has put his heart out of rhythm more than once.  I enjoy going with him and feel better that he's not by himself.  Sorry again for the loss of your uncle!

Very sorry for your loss....

Prayers sent to all his family and friends..

May he find eternal peaceful rest with our Lord, the Divine Creator.

I hope this is taken the right way...

He must have really been special, for he was relieved from this earth, quickly (without undue suffering), and doing what he loved. "We" know he went in peace.. Thank you God.

Amen

Prayers for you and your family.  Don't want to minimize your loss,  but that's not a bad way to go.  Better than withering away in a nursing home.  Just my opinion.
