Best Cleats for Large Boots

Fellow Ice Fishers,   Sitting around the house being bored, need to get out. Might go shopping. What do you all find to be the best ice cleats for large boots? Looking for something easy on and off, price doesn't matter, can't afford to fall. Any help is deeply appreciated.

I've wear size 14 boots and tried a few different pairs over the years and the ones I like the best by far are the Omni Tech Super Stud Sandal Cleats.  The reason I like them is because it's like the sole of your shoe with replaceable studs all around the bottom so there's no pressure points.  One thing that I did to mine is I put a drop of removable Lok-Tight on the threads of the studs so they don't come loose.  Other kinds I've tried had the cleats only in certain spots which ended up giving me sore feet.

Long ago I started using snowmobile studs { which are the hardened 1/2 " sheetmetal screws} I bought at Central Vermont Motorcycle. I screwed them in to my Cabelas Transalaska boots.They work great,they don't leak and they add no weight.I never remove them,I just dont wear them until I get to the ice.The downside is that you can't wear them anywhere else.the good news is they are cheap and you can remove them for other uses if you want.

When my older boots that I had studded started cracking, I picked up some Arctic Pro's.  Couldnt drill into my new boots, so this year I picked up some Kahtoola Microspikes, and while I havent had them on the ice yet, tomorrow will be first day out, they fit very nicely over my size 15 boots.

Agreed, I have size xl katoohlas on my bunny boots and I can sprint on glare ice if I want to.

Great cleats for walking on inclined ice sheets along the shore reservoir.. especially knowing the rubber  is secure around my fat pac boots.. hope if I keep them out of the sun and not cut the rubber will last at least a few seasons.. anybody have the rubber break or dry root with these kahtoolas .. rubber seems to be of good quality ? I guess eventually i'll find out but these are certainly the best safety cleats I used in my thirty plus on ice

I got a pair of yaktrax pro. They have a coil design to them. they are very light, and seem to stay on the boot very nice. They are not very aggressive compared to my old ones. Took them out yesterday,have no compliants. would recommend them for the money they cost.

The largest size Kahtoolas fit on my huge size 15 Sorels, and they are excellent cleats.  Worth the money, in my opinion.

Surprised kahunas are fitting sizes 13-15 and such...I have size 13 Baffin Titans and it's VERY hard to get mine on. Love the spikes, just hard to get them on. Kahtulas
